Friday and Saturday Seminars and Lunch

On both Friday and Saturday, a light lunch is provided.  For each meal, there is a vegetarian option.  Soft drinks are included.  Alcohol is available from the museum’s cash bar which is located in the main seminar room.

Friday

11:45 to 12:30     Lunch

12:30 to 1:20      Jim Merz – legendary custom builder, machinist, and a guiding light of Specialized Bicycles. Topic TBD

1:30 to 2:20       Colnago – presentation led by Matt Gorski.  The history and significance of this legendary marque

2:40 to 3:45      Breakout sessions – choice of 2 among options including literature, wheel building, museum behind-the-scenes

4:00 to 4:50     Richard Bryne – Speedplay founder, inventor, visionary and passionate vintage collector.  Topic TBD

Saturday

11:45 to 12:30    Lunch

12:30 to 1:15     Keith Larson – The history of Pogliaghi bicycles.  Keith is the administer of the Poglighi R.S.C registry 

1:30 to 2:00      Maynard Hershon – popular cycling author, will read from his new book which is available for pre-purchase

2:15 to 3:20      Breakout sessions – choice of 2 among options including literature, wheel building, museum behind-the-scenes

3:40 to 4:40    Richard Schwinn – “The Story Behind the Story”  

Saturday Night Banquet – tentative time 7PM to 9PM – after hours till 10:30

Introductions and acknowledgements – including a special recognition of Jeffrey Bock and his amazing machines

A few words about the passion and the pursuit of performance by the Duesenberg brothers

After the banquet, the museum will remain open until roughly 10:30 for folks who wish to wander the museum.  For many, this is the best chance to explore the museum with friends at a relaxed pace.
